Planned Giving

Do you provide planned giving advice?

Including Ideos Institute in your financial and/or estate plans is a great way to have lasting impact on our work and leaves a lasting legacy of support. You can name Ideos as the beneficiary of planned gifts such as bequests, retirement funds, and insurance policies, and of life income gifts such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts.

With a planned gift to Ideos, you can combine your desire to give to charity with your overall financial, tax, and estate planning goals. Planned giving gives you a special connection with the Institute. If you're interested in helping ensure that Ideos' mission of advancing empathy and reconciliation continues to affect human transformation and communal flourishing through sustainable and lasting policy change through your charitable gift, we're here to help. Find the perfect gift that meets your financial needs and fulfills your charitable intentions:

Gifts Through Your Will
Gifts through your will can help reduce your estate taxes while ensuring that Ideos and its reconciliation efforts will always continue.

Gifts Outside Your Will
Gifts like a Charitable Lead Trust, Charitable Lead Annuity Trust, Bargain Sale, and Retained Life Estate all avoid probate, as well as gifts of assets like appreciated securities, retirement plans, insurance policies, and real estate.

Gifts That Pay You Back for Life
Gifts like a Charitable Remainder Trust and Charitable Gift Annuities will give you fixed payments back for your lifetime, income, and estate tax-saving benefits and probate expenses.

Benefits of planned gifts
Donors can contribute appreciated property, like securities or real estate, receive a charitable deduction for the full market value of the asset, and pay no capital gains tax on the transfer. Donors who establish a life-income gift receive a tax deduction for the full, fair market value of the assets contributed, minus the present value of the income interest retained; if they fund their gift with appreciated property they pay no upfront capital gains tax on the transfer. Gifts payable to charity upon the donor’s death, like a bequest or a beneficiary designation in a life insurance policy or retirement account, do not generate a lifetime income tax deduction for the donor, but they are exempt from estate tax. Contact us at
